Recessed lighting/Pot Lights questions?

The pot lights I have are 50 w each. This is a lot of energy consumption in my opinion. My question is if there are any incandescent lights that are significantly lower in energy consumption for recessed lighting? If there isn't what are my options for energy efficient ones? If my reasearch is correct they are very expensive.
