Why is Gwen Ifill hosting Thursday's vice-presidential debate when she has a vested interest in the outcome?
I ask this question because Gwen Ifill is the author of an upcoming book, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama and if Obama wins the election, she stands to make A LOT of money off book sale royalties. If Obama loses the general election, there will be much less interest in a book about him and his rise to power Why would she be put in this position, when she has reason to be biased? Shouldn’t the moderator be someone who is impartial? Why would Democrats want to give Republicans an out if Palin does badly? It just doesn’t make sense to me. I believe she should be asked to step down as moderator.
