I have a wall outlet in my room that is kind of normal except i dont know what it is.?

It has a white plate, but it has four sockets on it. Theses are connected to each other by twos and they are on a black sort of square. They are like plastic alligator clips, and i think they go to my ceiling speakers. Any help would be appreciated! Also i cannot figure out how to hook up those speakers, i think these jacks are the answer. I want to hook up an A/V cable to the outlet, i have just the white and red audio cord for left and right. Please help me.
