Is it time for a constitutional convention in the USA? to refresh our core beliefs?

I think a constitutional convention is a good idea. Without commenting specifically on your proposals, in general it is sensible to keep a country's constitution up to date with the times. The constitution can only be changed with bipartisan and popular approval, so there's little risk of a bad or unfair decision being made.
